  Any musician considering playing for this church should make sure it's God sending them here to fix all the chaos going on!! The ministry needs prayer and healing. The pastor, bless his heart, needs healing the most. He's had musicians who's hurt him dearly. But he carries those past situations into every new relationship. I, the minister of music, had a contracted agreement with him and when the first situation that came up, he didn't bother contacting me with ways to work it out. Instead, he started deducting from my compensation without notifying me and just didn't handle things the right way.
  To top it off, he ended up not paying me for 2-3 weeks. After I respectfully took my stance, I met with a deacon to collect the back pay, I got an envelop with 2 surprises... Not the full pay, and a termination letter effective immediately. I was so hurt, because in the signed contract we both stated we would give 2 week notices both ways. So when I called him trying to figure everything out... Low and behold, no answer for days.
  Last part... So I called the deacon that gave me the (short handed) money, he kept shooting around. Then said "hey my wife is calling" apparently he joined the calls, and you'll never guess who it was... Pastor of the church. The conversation went word for word like this...
  Pastor: "Hey, what's going on?"
  Deacon: "Nothing, still talking to this boy."
  Pastor: "Ha ha, ok call me back later."
  Deacon: "Alright, it won't be long."
  
  Mind you I heard all of this.
  
  So when he clicked back over, I said "I heard everything, all I can say is God bless you guys because you know you're doing wrong and you're ok with it."
  
  We haven't spoken since. I have honestly forgiven the pastor for everything, I just learned that you can't deal with everyone.
  
  Just thought everyone should know what horrible experience this pastor put my family through.
